Born and raised in Turkey, Ms. Yasemin Keltek is an accomplished contemporary artist. She holds a BSc degree in social sciences and business administration from the University of Ankara, Turkey. Art is her second professional career. She graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts of Yeditepe University, Istanbul, Turkey. Her modernist body of work includes socio-critical look at women and children in the society, gender and social policy, role of cultural concepts, traditions and practices in modern day societies, privileges of the political, social and economic elite. In her works, Ms. Keltek explores the metaphor of the human condition. She looks at the variables of time and space, and how today's totalitarian regimes influence the human condition and the decay of mass culture within these powerful variables. Throughout her career, Ms. Keltek held solo exhibitions in Istanbul and Bodrum, Turkey, in Tokyo, Japan, in Varna, Bulgaria, and in Miami , USA, and art workshops in Chios Island, Greece, in Florence, Italy.
